ATTORNEY VOLUNTEERS

Attorneys in good standing with the California State Bar are welcome to volunteer their services either in our workshops or to provide mediation services.  To volunteer for mediations, we ask that you have at least 4 years experience in the area of law for which you are offering to volunteer.  For workshops any level of experience is accepted.  If you would like to volunteer, please email your resume/CV to sacjusticeleague@gmail.com.  Please include in your email if there is any particular kind of volunteer work you are interested in and if you would also volunteer office space for mediations.

We are currently specifically seeking attorneys with experience in Bankruptcy and Immigration Law to assist us in developing workshops for low-income individuals.  Of course we can always use volunteers in all areas of law, so please don’t be discouraged from contacting us!

STUDENT VOLUNTEERS

Students are also welcome to submit a request to volunteer.  Law students who wish to assist with research and workshops are particularly needed, however if you are not enrolled in law school we can still use your help with assisting workshop participants, community outreach, and in adminstrative work.  Student volunteers will be provided training, so we do request a commitment of at least one semester.  We are happy to assist students with obtaining school credit for the time they volunteer.  Please submit a cover letter, resume, and unofficial transcript to sacjusticeleague@gmail.com to apply to volunteer.

GENERAL PUBLIC

Individuals who wish to volunteer are welcome to submit a statement of interest and resume to sacjusticeleague@gmail.com.  Volunteer positions will be made available to students first, however we would welcome non-student volunteers as we need them!
